Facebook is going to start testing two new security features which will help in improving the security of the user account. A two new features are Trusted Friends and App Passwords.

First I will talk about Trusted Friends feature. The name explains all of it but I will still explain what it is and what is the purpose of having such a feature. Trusted Friends feature will give you the ability to add some of your friends you trust the most. In future if someone else gets access to your account and changes your password or in other words you can say if your account is hacked then how will you recover your account. The old traditional way is to try using the forgot your password but that does not work all the time for everyone, as most of the times the person who has hacked your account also changes your recovery settings like your alternate email address and other details. So Facebook has this new way of recovering your account with the help of your friends. Facebook will send codes to those friends you have selected in the Trusted Friends list and then you can ask your friends about the information they received from Facebook.

Now something about the second feature which is App Passwords. This new feature will allow you to generate passwords specifically for third party applications. Most of the times when you need to log in in order to use the third party application, then you had to log in using your Facebook account credentials but this feature will make it a lot easier for you to just use a unique password for that particular application.
I would suggest you to use these features as they will increase the security of your Facebook account. You can also have a look at the Facebook’s Security Infographic.
