Facebook’s face recognition feature is activated on all user accounts. This technology will help in locating your photos on the Facebook network
It is not a good news for people who do not want to share their photos
By default it is enabled in your account but you can disable it
Steps to disable Facebook’s Face Recognition feature :
1 : When you are logged into Facebook just look at the top right corner and there you ll find ‘Account‘.
2 : Click on Account and it will show a drop-down menu from where you can select various properties like Account Settings, Privacy Settings etc.
3 : Click on Privacy Settings
4 : Look for ‘Customize settings‘ and then Single Click ‘Customize settings‘ (If you are not able to find it then take a look at the image below)
5 : It will take you to a page where you will see several settings and all those settings are divided into three sections which are :
(i) Things I share
(ii) Things others share
(iii) Contact Information
6 : We just need to look at ‘Things others share‘ section and find ‘Suggest photos of me to friends’
7 : Next to ‘Suggest photos of me to friends‘ you will see a button ‘Edit Settings‘. Single Click on ‘Edit Settings‘
8 : When you will click on ‘Edit Settings‘, A new window will popup and it will have selection button which has ‘Enabled‘ and ‘Disabled‘ as the selection options
9 : Here you just have to select ‘Disabled‘ and Click ‘Okay‘
10 : That is it
