I came across a Google Chrome extension which works like a charm when it comes to saving a webpage into a single file without disturbing the whole structure of the page. It is very useful to people who often gather information from the internet to make their project. It will give them advantage to use the webpage offline.
How to Install
- First you need to have Google Chrome browser
- Install SingleFile Core, which is a page processor
- Now Install SingleFile Extension
- After the extension has been Installed, you will see a small icon on the right of the address bar.
To use this extension, first you need to open a page and let it load up completely. Now click on the SingleFile Icon and let SingleFile process the page. After it is done processing the page, it will show you a banner. You just have to click the link on the banner to save the webpage. For reference have a look at the image below.
There is another plugin which is called ZipTabs. It allows you to save pages for all the tabs opened in a Google Chrome browser unlike SingleFile which only allows you to save the page of the active tab.
The only thing which I didn’t liked was that SingleFile is not available on other browsers but the file which is saved using Google Chrome works with all the popular browsers available.
