Android Jelly Bean (4.2.2) enabled users to create photo spheres. Photo Sphere can be uploaded and viewed on Google+ and Picasa Web Albums.

You can now use the Google+ Platform API to embed photo spheres on your website. Google has provided details on How to embed photo sphere on your website.

A embed code is required in order to embed a photo sphere on a webpage but the problem is that you need to generate the code manually for a particular photo sphere image.
Install and try the new Facebook Home launcher on your Android device

Facebook Home is official available on Google Play Store now. The application is only available for a few high-end Android devices but XDA member theos0o managed to port the application to all Android devices.

I have personally used the Facebook’s most hyped launcher on my device and with all the experience I can say that the application is just a waste of time. We do not want Facebook to be the front end of our phone because of a simple reason that our devices are not meant just for Facebook.

Facebook Home has not received good reviews from Android users and this is not a good news for HTC as they have launched a phone called HTC First which uses Facebook Home as default launcher.

You can download the ported version of Facebook Home from here.

As we have seen in the past, Google Data Liberation team works really hard to allow Google users to manage their data in and out of Google products and Google Takeout was one of the examples we have.

A new feature called Inactive Account Manager has been released and with this you can tell Google what should be done to your digital data which is on Google servers if in any case your account becomes inactive.

You can setup the all the settings here (You will see this in your Google Account settings page). You can choose a timeout perioid (3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year). Google will send you an alert a month before taking any action with your account. The alert will be sent to the provided mobile number and email address.

The other option is to add up your trusted friends or family members who will be notified when your account is inactive. The whole data can also be shared with the trusted contacts you have added. You can add upto 10 trusted contacts.

Facebook announced a new home for Google Android devices.

Facebook sent out invitations to show a new Android home. Finally, Mark Zuckerberg announced an Android launcher application which is called Facebook Home.

Facebook Home is just another launcher for Google Android devices which is designed with the idea to connect with people rather than connecting with applications. The idea looks very promising to me but if I look it the other way around, it actually makes your phone more of a Facebook friendly phone. The launcher will put all the Facebook related stuff in front of user’s eyes, so what about everything else?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lep_DSmSRwE

The highlighted features of Facebook Home are Cover Feed and Chat Heads. As soon as you turn on your device, the home screen will display the Cover Feed. A Cover Feed shows you what is going on with the people you are connected with on Facebook. Chat Heads is helpful when you are playing a game or using another application on your Android device, you will be able to read your messages and respond without having to leave your game or application.

On the event, HTC announced their new phone HTC First which uses Facebook Home as default launcher.

Facebook Home will be available for download via Google Play Store on 12th April. It will be only available for the devices mentioned below:-

Samsung GALAXY S III
Samsung GALAXY S4
HTC One
HTC One X
HTC One X+
Samsung GALAXY Note II

Facebook Home will be available on other Android devices soon after the official release(12th April).

Have a look at Google's prank attempt on April Fool's Day 2013

Google is actually the best when it comes to April Fool’s Pranks. This year they have come up with Google Nose, Gmail Blue and YouTube Shutdown.

Google Nose was the best prank this year. This new feature allows you to smell things you search. Take a look at the video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFbYadm_mrw

Gmail Blue was the other prank related to Gmail. In this video you will see Gmail in Blue theme where everything from text to buttons are blue colored. I am pretty sure that Google mocked Windows Blue in this prank.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zr4JwPb99qU

The last one is YouTube Shutdown. All the videos on YouTube will be deleted and YouTube is going forever.

Google Babble will be a combination of all Google's other messaging services like Google Talk, Hangouts and Messenger Voice.

There are rumors spreading that Google is working on a new messaging application called Google Babble which will be a combination of all their other messaging services like Google Talk, Hangouts and Messenger Voice.

A week ago this information about Google Babble was leaked and since then there has been so many mock up images which came out on the Internet but none of them looked real to me expect the one below.

This image was posted on a Dutch site Skloink.

In this image the application looks a lot like Google+ application which is obvious as Google wants more and more people to connect with Google+. The conversation part of the application looks similar to Google Now cards. I still cannot say if this image represents the real product but the overall look of the application is beautiful.

Google I/O is on 15th May and that is where we will get to know all the answers regarding Google Babble. I hope Google doesn’t name it Babble if they are releasing such an application because it just doesn’t sound a good name for a messenger application.

A new note-taking application has stepped into the market which is called Google Keep. Google Keep allows you to take notes, record voice memos and pin photos. It will sync all your saved data across your phone, computer and tablet by just using your Google Account. You can access your saved notes inside Google Drive.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbvkHEDvw-o

Google Keep is an rival application to Evernote which is considered the best note-taking application. I don’t think that it was the right time to release this application because users are already upset from Google’s decision of shutting down Google Reader. If I talk about just the reviews this application has received inside Google Play Store then the story is different as many of the Android users have commented this application as the best note taking application.
